The Lord says, you have the power. Until you recognize your power that's God ordained and God given, then your prayers will be unfruitful, because you're not praying in alignment with what's already established in heaven.
Mark 11:22-23
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Now this is after Jesus cursed the fig tree, it withered and die. They came back the next day, the fig tree was already dead and the disciples were marveling like "Whoa, the one Jesus cursed is now gone." And Jesus response to that was "Have faith in God."
Look at that anointing on that portion of scripture- He that believes, what he says shall come to pass. He shall have whatever he's saying. It's one thing to say, it's one thing to ask, but the Lord has added an element that said, you got to believe that what you are saying is coming to pass. And the Lord said there's a spirit of hindrance, it's a spirit of opposition, challenging your belief in what you are saying. Why did Jesus begin with, "Have faith in God"? If you don't understand, your prayers will be ineffective. Why? Because it is God who gave you the power, so you believing in God, you having faith in God, is having faith that God gave you the power to address the spirit of opposition- what is opposing you. So if you believe that situation has power, the opposition has more power or authority than the one God has given you, then He's saying you're not really having adequate faith in God. He started off by saying, "Have faith in God." Why? And then goes to verse 23. Verse 23 shows you what He means by "Have faith in God" in verse 22. Because God has given you authority, "Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, doubt not in his heart, but believe that what he is saying will come to pass, he's going to have that thing."
The Lord is saying to you today, "You have the power." Isn't it interesting how sometimes we can go to the Lord thinking- I just go to You, I just keep going and going. But I want you to understand something about the Lord, He is always about our spiritual growth and our spiritual development. It's a good reflection on God if we arise in the power and the authority that He has given us. When Jesus came down from the mountain of transfiguration, and He was met by a man and his son who was possessed by a devil, and the father came to Jesus, like "Man, Your disciples You know, I don't know what's up with them, but I brought my son to them and they couldn't do nothing with it." And I want you to understand Jesus' response, wasn't something like, "Oh well, you know I just..." He didn't cuddle them. He rebuked them, "Oh you faithless and adulterous generation, how long shall I suffer." Your unbelief, it wasn't like the Lord was like, "Oh know I understand your heart and I understand your weakness." He didn't pacify that. He said because at this point you've been following Me long enough to have been able to address this matter. The Lord is always about our growth. And sometimes we find ourselves at impasses, where we find ourselves up against situations where the Lord is saying, "Okay now I want you to exercise what I have been teaching you, now I want you to implement what I've been showing you. Now I want you to demonstrate the power that I have given you." And so because this passive Christianity, this passive gospel, this powerless gospel, they really don't believe, they pacify the ineptitude of believers- it is influenced by the enemy because it's sensual. It's all about the feelings, it's all about that sensuality, which means the Bible says in the book of James, it's devilish because it's fleshly because it doesn't ascend from on high, it's earthly, it's this level, which means it's devilish. "You know how I feel..." No! So there's a progression in our walk, and in the progression of our walk, it always comes into greater power. The Bible says, we are increased from glory to glory, which means new levels of power, we should be increasing. And so sometimes we find ourselves on impasse, and there are some people who are following people who've been at an impasse for years- their ministries have not grown even though their numbers have grown- their ministry hasn't grown in terms of their power because they're still at their last impasse, that devil that they refused to confront, that mountain that they refuse to confront and see moved out of the way, has kept them from going to the next level, has kept them from going to the next demonstration of the glory of God. Because when I walk in a greater glory, it is not me who's glorified, it is God who's glorified. It is God who's glorified who anoints the body. When it is God who's glorified who anoints the body, who empowers the body, and so when we come to these impasses, this frailty in the church, it was like, and their favorite scripture is "Oh but when I'm weak, He is strong." and so they use that as an excuse not to walk in the power that has already been given and so as a result God cannot be glorified on another level in their lives. And so there are sick bodies that remain sick in their presence, there are people who are possessed with demons that remain demon possessed in their presence. There's a constant barrage of opposition that remain in their presence that should otherwise be cast out and dealt with that God may be glorified, and so they have these large or they may have the large numbers but the demonstration of power is not there, so God is not glorified because it's a constant catering to the flesh. But I want you guys to understand, it is a good thing for you to walk in the glory that God has assigned to you, that God has given you because then He becomes glorified. When they see the power demonstrated, then the world knows that, "Whoa, look at the Lord."
Some of you have been praying, asking the Lord, "What do I do?" And the Lord said, "Listen, you got the power." And this is something that's synonymous with the Lord. When Pharaoh took pursuit after he let the children of Israel go, then after his heart was hardened again, he was like, "Man, I can't believe I let them go." So he came after them and Moses was like, "Oh man, what am I going to do, you brought us all the way out here, the enemies in hot pursuit, we're right here at an impasse what are we gonna do?" And the Lord said, "Lift up your staff." You see it is always a good thing for us to understand what God has given us, what is God giving you and to understand that. And to understand that the enemy always wants us to just feel like we are powerless, when in actuality we are powerful, because we have the spirit of the living God on the inside of us. The same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead and while we may not yet be at a place where we realize all the power and the glory that is in us. Whatever opposition you are up against today, the Lord wants to acquaint you, while you may not understand the full breath of the power that the Lord has placed inside of you today. The Lord has given you an opportunity to discover a greater level of power through the opposition that is facing you right now. And the Lord says, "You have the power!" And what the Lord wants you to do is, have faith in God (Mark 11:22). Have faith in God because God has given you power.
Verse 23- For verily. I want you to understand that 'verily', it means - of truth, of certainty. There's a certainty with what the Lord is saying. "For a certainty, I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, get out of my way, be removed and be cast out into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he is saying shall come to pass." It's one thing to ask God to do something, that you have no confidence is going to be done, you just want it to be done, you see that becomes a frail prayer. In this moment, in this season for you, the Lord is saying when you open up your mouth, this time, He wants you to believe that what you are saying is about to come to pass. It's enough to say it, but you got to know that what you are saying is about to come to pass, it's different. Then it becomes different, you enter into a whole new dynamic, a whole new spiritual realm when you say, "Hold on devil, no in the name of Jesus. You will not oppose me in Jesus name. You will get out of my way. This door will open up for me. My finances will begin to flow. Health will begin to spring forth in my body in the name of Jesus." Right when you begin to open up your mouth and believe that what you are saying is coming to pass, the Lord says this is of certainty. Not because I'm saying it, not because anybody else saying it, but this is for real believers. You see, these are for those who live by the Word, not by the bread, not by the stone converted into bread. But this is only for select, this is for a remnant. Those who know that God don't play around. Those who don't think that God is a joke, that all these things contained within this Word of God is a game. This is for the remnant, this is not for everybody who will take the Word of God and they consult their feelings, and say I'm not really sure, I don't agree with the Lord here. This is not for you! This is for the real remnant who live by every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord God. This is not for everybody. This is only for those who believe that what the Lord is saying, is who believe that the words of God are real, that He wouldn't have said it if He didn't mean it. He said, "he shall have whatever he says." Notice He didn't say, "You're going to have whatever you pray" or what He didn't say was have faith in God. Now how do I have faith in God in conjunction with what I'm about to say? How do I have faith in God? Because to have faith in God means I understand that the Lord has already given me the power to speak. He's already given me the authority to speak He's already given me the word to speak against the situation. He's already given me victory now. When I believe that the Lord has already given me victory but I'm dealing with opposition, now I have faith in God then go and pray and ask God. Oftentimes there's a couple dynamics when we don't know we pray, we ask the Lord, the Lord reveals. The Lord speaks. And then when the Lord speaks, we have our answer and when we get our answer, now we get our assignments. But there are some people who petition the Lord, the Lord gives the answer and when He gives the answer, now they have their assignment and then they still pray. They still asking the Lord the same thing He's already addressed, instead of walking out their assignment which is to confront, to be of good courage to confront, and to declare. Because you've got to understand, once you speak the Lord moves, the angels move. Why? Because now you're speaking in conjunction with heaven, what God has already declared. Now you're on assignment to release the power of God for God's glory. Not only am I speaking life but I believe what I say is about to come to pass. Now I have faith in God, but if you don't believe what you're saying is coming to pass, then you're not having faith in God. There is nothing that hides the glory more than a powerless church.
Believe what you're saying is coming to pass. Whatever is opposing you open up your mouth and command it to leave, command it to move in the name of Jesus and believe that what you're saying is coming to pass. That is that he has to move that, if that's a spirit of poverty, of lack, of infirmity, of depression, of lust, of envy. Whatever it is you speak to that mountain and you command it to move, and you believe in your heart and you speak to it that thing must get out of your way. Amen.
The power that the Lord has placed in you is significant to be released at some point. I don't want you to take for granted finances or whatever dynamic that the Lord wants to show. It's still a release of power that doesn't allow people to rest on just the wisdom of man. And some people have become conditioned to believe that's the most important, that's not, it's about the power.
