Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: neither give place to the devil.
Ephesians 4:26-27 (NIV)
“In your anger do not sin” Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.
When you see the loading signal (when webpages or apps are loading)
If you get this sign means:
1. Something's coming
This doesn't mean quit, stop praying, fasting, trusting. Your faith is revealed not just what you believe but how long can you believe it.
Do you have the patience while it's loading? Do you have the patience to survive the loading phase?
This symbol doesn't mean give up. It means something is coming.
There's something on the other side of this, of this pandemic, of this trial, of this test, of this storm, of this layoff, of this pain, setback, breakup, of this obedience.
Just because you miss them that doesn't mean reach back out to them.
The only person that you lost that you need to get back is YOU
Have you got so caught up with what's happening on this side that you forgot about the promise that's coming on the other side.
How uncomfortable it is on this side to embrace the humidity of disappointment.
At midnight, it's dark, but technically it's a new day.
2. You have a poor connection
Are you frustrated with God because you want an intimate blessing but you have a long distance relationship.
Anytime we strive to live life when we have a distance from our divine router, it will always make sure that we have slow internal strength. No wonder we try to get on everybody else connection because we don't have our own hot spot
So you keep getting deceived, falling for counterfeits because you don't have service.
One of the issues you have is we keep putting God weight on mere men. God is the one who said He'll never leave you nor forsake you.
Anytime we live a life that we do not hear a forward sound, we'll revert back to familiar chaos.
Stop asking God to bless what He told you to stay out of.
3. You have too many tabs open
The reason why you can't get free is because you have too many doors open
Even just following somebody who lives where you fail that's a foothold, close that door.
We care more about cracked screen than we do cracked spirits.
While you're here second guessing yourself, hell fears your potential (door of doubt)
Foothold - imagine you're running from somebody / chasing after you, you run into a room, shut the door but at the bottom of the door, they stuck their foot in, so that you cannot fully close the door - it could be your music, tv show, bf / gf
And you wonder why you're not fully free from this area is because you gave him a foothold
lust- a lot of us are born with this virus (sinful nature)
sex - fire
marriage - fireplace
You'll get burned if you do it any other way
1 John 2:16
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
We're struggling right now because we're trying to unlearn the lessons from our first teacher.
Bible has much to say about the discipleship of children. Your first teacher matters. It's easier to train a child than it is to get an adult to unlearn some things.
You have an obligation to raise your child to be godly because if not, their first teacher would be - the school system, music, tv show. If we don't become the first teacher, somebody else will.
Somebody of us messed good friendships when we try to make it romantic. Chemistry doesn't mean companionship.
When you begin to understand who you are in God, you don't begin to question yourself because culture lives by a different code.
STDs - spiritually transmitted devils
Feelings are fleeting
There's a difference between sexual desire and lust. Sexual desire is not sin. Sex in marriage is a gift from God. It's not wrong for me to desire what God will give me in covenant.
Difference from Christ follower and not: we both have the same desires. One gives in to them while the other trust in God to help us flee from them.
Christ Follower - filled with Spirit that convicts that helps us war with sinful nature.
